Fly Fishing

Fishing with Rick Estes is more than a day of fishing; it’s a rewarding experience. Every time I’ve gone on a trip with Rick, I’ve come off the river a better fly fisherman. His knowledge of fly fishing is extensive, and he loves to share it with you.

From fly casting to learning how to read the water and where the fish are, Rick’s a great teacher.

Owls Roost Outfitters is not the usual 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. guide service that I’ve experienced before, here and out west. It’s a personal service. Rick provides a full day on the water (you have to tell him when its time to quit), a great shore lunch, and all the free flies that you can lose.

I’ve fished with Rick on waters in New Hampshire and Maine, and each time was a great experience, lots of fun, and great fishing.

I've fished with Rick Estes (Owls Roost Outfitters) on several occasions. Rick is extremely knowledgeable and helpful on fly selection, productive pool locations, fly fishing techniques, etc. He has a great Hyde drift boat that's really user friendly and comfortable.

Also Rick's lunches are amazing in themselves; what a treat, always something unexpected.

I really can't say enough about my experiences and I'm booking again for next year.
